Endourology

Abstract
In 1979, the University of Minnesota proposed the term "endourology" in response to the new and dramatic applications of percutaneous nephrostomy and the assimilation of many other techniques of interventional radiology to the field of urologic surgery and uroradiology.
Over the years, endourology most often has been used to refer to any procedure done through a percutaneous approach to the kidney and upper collecting system, and also to retrograde ureteroscopy.
The author reviewed the literatures for the recent development of endourology.
